I recently had a chance to review Listen: Five Simple Tools to Meet Your Everyday Parenting Challenges. The title pretty much says it all - listen. Listening can make a big difference in our relationships with our kids and in our household management. But we often overlook this step, or it ends up being harder than it sounds.
The book introduces five strategies that are flexible enough to work in just about every parenting challenge, and memorable enough to be practical to use. The rationale behind the tools is clearly explained, and the book is written in a friendly, helpful tone that is easy to read but also powerful for parents.
