A while back I was sent some fun science-based books for babies and toddlers by Jill McDonald: Weather and Solar System. She's also written others - backyard bugs and birds. These books are great - brightly colored to hold the attention of young readers, informative, and with advice to parents to help engage kids while reading. Kids will learn about the changes in weather over a year and how that affects what we do and wear. They'll also learn about the solar system, along with colors, shapes, and sizes.
Jill Mcdonald is a Missouri-based illustrator and designer whose cheery and colorful art can be found on clothing, fabric, bedding, stationery, puzzles, games, and in a variety of books for babies and toddlers.
