Book Nook: The Memory Diet

Nearly everyone knows someone who has Alzherimer's or dementia or another memory issue. Judi Zucker and Shari Zucker wrote The Memory Diet, a book I got to review, based on the Mediterranean Intervention Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND) Diet, which may reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's.

The book has over 150 healthy recipes that are free of white sugar, gluten, and processed ingredients, so they work well for anyone trying to avoid those ingredients as well. They include appetizers, entrees, salads, soups, and more.

Not only does it include the recipes, but it also includes the science behind cooking methods and how it can cause changes in the foods we eat. It's clearly written, easy to read, and has delicious recipes that are accessible for someone at any level of cooking ability.
