Caring Causes: Believe in Yourself

Sam Sisakhti CEO of an online retail company called UsTrendy which is marketing clothing for women and juniors. Sam has grown increasingly concerned about the cyber bullying and body shaming online.

For the past few months, Sam has been traveling throughout the U.S., delivering dresses to underprivileged girls and bringing in speakers to talk with them about building a positive body image. So far, they have donated hundreds of dresses and are on their way to donating 10,000 dresses by the end of the year (learn more here: www.believeinyourself.org)

For 'Back to School' season they will roll out their national mentoring programs, which will feature weekly meetings in various cities across the country as well as online seminars available to girls anywhere. The meetings and online seminars will include interactive and open-table discussions where influential women will mentor and have discussions with girls about creating and maintaining a positive body image and about combating and dealing with cyber bullying. They will also be providing new back to school clothing for the girls.

They are currently in the process of gathering our first round of mentors for each city, so raising awareness for this program would be extremely helpful. If you know of anyone who would be a good mentor or are interested it mentoring yourself, then please let Sam know (sam@ustrendy.com).
