Consumer Critique: Utter Nonsense

I recently had a chance to review Utter Nonsense - The Hilarious Accent Game. It was originally funded on Kickstarter and became a successful adult party game. They've now released a PG-rated version. The Family Edition was created based on fan feedback from parents who loved the adult party game, but wanted a version to play with their kids.

The concept of the game is fun - players read cards with silly phrases in crazy voices. There are 450 phrases and 50 accents for a wide variety of combinations. The nice thing is that the accents/voices are things that even younger kids can figure out, like side-mouth or pirates. Some required a little bit of an example for my youngest, like French or rap, but she quickly picked it up.

Because of the rules, players don't actually have to know the accents well - the judge just picks his or her favorite, whether or not it's actually right. It's a game that doesn't really take any time to learn, but can offer a lot of fun. The game is available exclusively at Target and online for $24.99.
