Giveaway: Songs of Peace and Love for Kids and Parents Around the World

There's no question that we love in a world full of conflict. There's always been fighting, prejudice, and violence, and at the same time, there have always been people who strive to work against it. A new album I got to review from Ladysmith Black Mambazo, a male a cappella vocal group that originated with a farmworker from Ladysmith, South Africa. It's been around for 50 years, using music to spread joy.

The new album, Songs of Peace and Love for Kids and Parents Around the World, is full of messages for peace, reconciliation, and harmony. There's a song called "All Women Are Beautiful" - direct conflict to a beauty-obsessed society that says we need to look a certain way. There are songs that spread a general message of harmony - "Love Your Neighbor" and "Hambani Kahle (Peace be with You)" - and there are songs that are more pointed and direct - "Different Colors Mean Nothing to Me."

I love male a cappella groups. The sounds and harmonies are always amazing. African harmonies in particular are pleasant to listen to, beautiful in their rhythm and tone.

Songs of PEACE & LOVE for Kids & Parents Around the World will be available on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, and many other music retailers and streaming services. Follow the group on Facebook and on Twitter at@THEREALMAMBAZO.

I have a chance to give away a copy of the CD. To enter, leave a comment with one way that you help spread peace. Deadline is October 15th.
