Book Nook: Good Night, Baby Animals

I recently had a chance to review Good Night, BABY Animals, You’ve Had a Busy Day by Karen B. Winnick, illustrated by Laura Watkins. This picture book is written for the youngest readers - babies to early elementary. It's a great book for young readers. There are sound effects, action, a simple cadence with a repetitive pattern, and an easy-to-follow focus. Not only that, but children see several animals in their natural habitats with realistic and accurate behavior: tiger, elephant, giraffe, rhinoceros, panda, gorilla. The illustrations are rich and beautiful, and there is more information about the animals at the very end of the book. It's a great book for bedtime routines, or for talking about animals during the day.

You can go to the website and visit the Fun & Games section to download Good Night, Baby Animals, You’ve Had a Busy Day coloring pages and printables.
