It's easy to get disappointed sometimes with everything that gets thrown our way. Often we feel as if no one else has ever been in our shoes. It can be helpful to be reminded of other people - even Bible figures - who felt at times that all hope was gone.
I had a chance to review Remarkable Hope: When Jesus Revived Hope in Disappointed People. This book looks at eight Bible figures and how they went from downtrodden to faith-filled with Jesus' help.
This book was well-written, in a way that made the historic Bible stories come alive with applications that are still relevant today. We can learn from the spiritual transformation that these people had so many hundreds of years ago, and through their journey we can have our own journey back to hope.
