Book Nook: Stepping Up! Discover the Power of Your Position

We are all placed into different roles in life, and sometimes it can be easy to overlook things that we are capable of, especially if we're in a "low" position. A book I recently got to review, Stepping Up! aims to help readers discover the power that is in their position - whatever it is - and live up to their spiritual potential.

My favorite thing about this book was the attitude of approaching your position from a servant's heart, instead of selfish ambition. When we seek to elevate our position above what God has planned for us, just to make ourselves look good, that's not going to follow God's will. But if we seek to serve God's plan and those around us, strengthening our position with an attitude of faith, then we will be aligned with God's will for our lives.

I liked that this book was appropriate for people in any station of life, encouraging people to seek God's heart for their role, not seek another role for their own glory.
