So much of what we do nowadays is digital or typed - so it can be especially meaningful when someone takes time to make something handmade, particularly if they do it with care. I recently had a chance to review Creative Lettering and Beyond: Timeless Calligraphy, which shows readers how to do a wide variety of beautiful lettering and calligraphy techniques appropriate for cards, artwork, and more.
Several different techniques and styles are shown throughout the book. The step-by-step illustrations where easy to follow, and the projects and ideas were fun to implement. There are little historical bits of information and practice pages, which make it easy to get started and work on techniques without having to leave the book.
This would make a great gift for anyone interested in creating their own fancy hand-lettered invitations, cards, or more!
