Summer has arrived in Minnesota! Parents dreading hearing that first “I’m bored” should fear not. Alamo Drafthouse Twin Cities is here to save the day with their variety of summer family programming, including:
§ Teacher Appreciation Wednesdays – Bring a valid faculty or employee ID to the box office and choose from any of the regular shows all day on any Wednesday in June (excludes special events). Applies to teachers, faculty and school staff.
§ Alamo for All – A movie program for young families and guests with special needs. All shows starting before 2 pm on Tuesdays follow Alamo for All rules, with more shows on the weekends. Also applies to the first showing of PG and G films every day in the summer. Schedule may vary during holidays. At sensory-friendly Alamo for All shows,
- Lights are turned up and sound is turned down;
- All ages are welcome (including infants);
- Talking and noise is allowed, and guests can move around;
- Latecomers are admitted;
- Adaptive technology is welcome (but no other electronics, please).
§ Kids Camp – Starting this week, each day Monday – Friday at 10:00am offers family-friendly movies at great prices. All Kids Camp screenings are pick your price from $1-$5 with 100% of box office proceeds donated to local non-profit Hope Kids. These showings follow the Alamo for All age policies and rules. Summer 2019 titles include: TROLLS, SHREK, THE LORAX, PADDINGTON 2, MADAGASCAR, THE CURSE OF WERE RABBIT, THE NEVERENDING STORY, KUNG FU PANDA, THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER and more!
§ Cereal Parties – Your ticket includes a delicious, not-necessarily nutritious cereal buffet, complete with milks of many kinds. Cereal buffet is available throughout the entire film and PJ’s are encouraged! Age policies vary per cereal party.
§ PBS Kids Screenings – A monthly series of PBS Kids episodes, including Daniel Tiger, Nature Cat and more! All PBS Kids screenings are pick your price $1- $5 with 100% of box office proceeds donated to local PBS station Twin Cities Public Television (TPT). All ages are welcome, and Alamo for All rules apply.
§ Alamo Kids Club – An Alamo Kids Club Prize Book can be picked up at the box office or printed off at home and activated online. Once activated, you’ll also be automatically signed up for a Victory Rewards membership and weekly newsletter. That means in addition to Alamo Kids Club rewards, you’ll be eligible for up to three FREE Victory screenings a year. Collect stickers every time you go to the Alamo to collect and redeem for prizes!

§ Other Discounts Available – Note that discounted tickets may be purchased with current ID at the box office only.
- T.A.C.O. Tuesday (Tickets are Cheaper on Tuesday): $5 all day. Does not apply to special events with added value. Offer not valid during holiday seasons.
- Student/Seniors: $1 off
- Military/Police/Fire/EMT: $1 off
§ Age Policy – 18 and up; Children 3 and up will be allowed only with a parent or guardian until 6:00pm. After 6pm, children 6 and up will be allowed only with a parent or guardian. No children under the age of 3 will be allowed and families with loud children will be asked to leave, unless designated as an Alamo for All screening.
§ Box Office – The Alamo box office opens 30 minutes before all scheduled show times. Patrons are welcome to enjoy drinks and appetizers in the auditorium starting at this time. A rotating program of vintage cartoons and shorts will play before the film. Advance tickets are available online for all shows.
