takeabed allows anyone to have the power of a travel agent in their pocket. As a user you have access to wholesale hotel pricing (which cannot be advertised publicly, just like those "name your own price" rates) which usually ALWAYS beats out the big booking sites. You can find a hotel, share it with a reader, friend, family member, follower or even yourself and earn a 10% commission on every booking.
There's no fees to join or to receive a commission.. ever. No commitments or minimum "cash-out" quotas either.
Additionally, takeabed PLUS gives you the ability to earn a 30% commission but also allows you to adjust your earnings to offer a bigger savings to your following.. or a bigger savings for your own vacation. takeabed PLUS does come with a monthly or annual fee.
I had a chance to do an interview to learn more.
"Our focus at takeabed is creating as many jobs, experiences and opportunities for everyone as possible,” explains Brayson Ware, Co-Founder & VP of Product “Unlike other gig/sharing economy jobs, takeabed allows anyone – without assets like a house (Airbnb, HomeAway, etc.) or vehicle (Uber, Turo, Lyft, etc.) – to make some serious income. The app is powerful enough for professional travel agents, yet it’s easy enough so everyone can use it.”
What makes takeabed different?
The app was designed to empower people, helping them achieve their personal and financial goals while helping travelers get the best hotel prices and experiences through personal and validated recommendations. takeabed plays a pivotal role in eliminating middlemen, hence communication barriers between hotels and travelers, by offering excellent paid recommendations and customer support on both sides. Being a takeabed member is like having your own travel agency, where you can control what you earn and manage your time as desired.
