Caring Causes: Desigual and Aprenem de Barcelona
Spanish lifestyle brand Desigual recently released a t-shirt to support World Autism Awareness Day. The t-shirt was designed by Liam, a six-year old boy who loves to draw, loves to give hugs and also has autism. His dad, Juergen Bumann, has been designing children's clothes at Desigual for ten years now and to celebrate his anniversary, he wanted to do something for his children while raising awareness for a cause that means a lot to him.
The artistic direction and illustration of the t-shirt were done by Liam, his dad Juergen designed it and Liam's twin brother Adam created the number detailing on the back. The shirt is made of 100% organic cotton and is meant to show autism's more creative side.
A percentage of profits will benefit the Aprenem de Barcelona Association, a Spanish organization which supports families with autistic children.
