Book Nook: Will Someone Play Bluey? (Review)

I previously highlighted the book Will Someone Play Bluey?, and I also ha da chance to see a review copy. The book is cute, and it reminds me of when I got my violin (it's purple). I like it because it's fun, and I'm certainly not trying to be a major superstar, so a purple violin suits me just fine.

Grammy-awarded violinist and educator Eileen Ivers is known for her unique musical style and blue violin, and she wrote this new children’s story about standing up for yourself.

Eileen’s Music School is a magical place. When the children go home, the instruments speak, often teasing and bullying Bluey. But Bluey's friend, Priscilla the piano, helps him gain confidence to show how we're all unique.

The book is designed for kids ages 4-10, and can help inspire discussion about self-confidence, diversity, bullying, and kindness. It's appropriate for families, libraries, and classrooms; it's rhythmic rhyme make it well-suited to music time in the school as well. It's a good story on an important topic, with a fun musical theme.
