Book Nook: The World's Longest Sock

I recently had the chance to review a cute book about competition going too far - The World's Longest Sock.

In the book, Nana Nina, a Chilean shop keeper, starts knitting a sock - every time she makes a sale, she adds a row. Soon, she ends up with the record for the longest sock in the world! Meanwhile, Chuck, a solitary lumberman in New Zealand, is also knitting a sock - and when he hears about the record, he gets his sock measured to beat her. Soon, they're in direct competition with each other - but it can't last!

This little tale about competition and coming together is a fun way to explore healthy levels of competition with kids!
