Book Nook: How to be a Hepburn in a Kardashian World

In college I lived on the same floor as a girl who was enthralled with Audrey Hepburn. She just seemed to display so much class in-character on the screen, and was raised in high society Europe as well. Many of today's celebrities don't seem to have the same social grace - a fact that is influencing fans as well.

I got to review the book How to be a Hepburn in a Kardashian World, which hopes to help people go against the grain and revive a sense of class and make more thoughtful choices: dating to look for Mr. Right instead of just hooking up for right now, enjoying a night without making a social faux pas, looking polished while still having a sense of style.

This book is how I hope my daughters live their lives - with politeness and grace, presentable, confident but not crass. It's particularly appropriate for young adults, but would also be a good guide for people who are tired of the over-materialized rat race and are ready for something a little more genuine.
