The King of Too Many Things, a book I recently got to review, is a fun little story about what happens when one can have every wish granted by a magical wizard. King Jasper is bored one day, and wishes for a something to liven up the kingdom - but he finds it doesn't work out exactly as planned. So he makes another wish to take care of the first wish. Soon the kingdom is overrun with robots, superheroes, and...cats!
Kids will enjoy the humor in King Jasper's troubles, and parents will enjoy the gentle reminder that wishing for more isn't always better. The illustrations are fantastical, bright-colored and eye-catching. It's a nice way to help kids learn a lesson through someone else's fictional misfortunes.
