Caring Causes: St. Patrick's Day Parade - Delray Beach

A class at Lynn University created a campaign to help boost awareness, fundraising efforts and heighten excitement for their 50th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Delray Beach on the famous Ave., Florida.
“Talk about loving the parade and all it stands for, these students really put great energy into a campaign idea that will not only be fun to do, but potentially raise funds for the parade,” said John Fischer, CEO of Code 3 America.  “It’s all about the 1st Responders and Veterans and being able to give back as they are always there for us,” added Fischer.
The students visited TransMedia Group to showcase their presentation and really engaged in an in-depth conversation about all the steps necessary to implement their ideas.  The entire class of Professor Matteo Peroni, College of Business & Management at Lynn University worked hard with TransMedia Group to impress their client Code 3 America, a nonprofit organization that support veterans, first responders and their families, and by having the students involved, were able to have extra messengers to this great celebration.

The ideas consisted in raffle prize trips for vacations to Ireland, a group fitness event, the best dog fashion contest, the Ginger Queen Beauty contest and the Maury Powers look-alike contest.
“They dazzled a lot of good points to make this the best St. Patrick’s Day Parade ever,” said Rebecca Shpektor, director of public relations at TransMedia Group. “We are set to get these ideas underway starting with the announcement of St. PETrick’s Day “Dress your pet in Green” where we’re asking for anyone that wants to bring awareness and exposure to the parade that gives back to our 1st responders and veterans to hashtag #StPETricksDay,” added Shpektor.
