Macy’s and Make-A-Wish are celebrating the 11th anniversary of the Believe campaign, which helps Make-A-Wish grant wishes to children with critical illnesses.
On Dec. 7, National Believe Day, celebrate the season of giving by attending a wish in your community as Macy’s helps to grant 25 special Wishes Across America in 25 cities.
In the Twin Cities, 10-year-old Da’niel, who has a heart condition, will have her wish celebrated at Macy’s Mall of America on Dec. 7 at 8:45 a.m. Da’niel will receive a grand entrance from the Macy’s store team, a makeover in cosmetics, a decked out dressing room with personal MyStylist for shopping at Macy’s, and a videographer to film the day and more. Following, Da’niel will continue her Mall of America shopping spree.
Make-A-Wish Minnesota representatives and the Macy’s Mall of America Store Manager will also be on site to discuss the heartwarming program that highlights the season’s spirit of generosity and hope, while helping to make children’s wishes come true.
Macy’s Believe campaign invites “Believers” of all ages to send their letters to Santa at a Believe station at their local Macy’s store or online at macys.com/believe. For every letter received now through Dec. 24, Macy’s will donate $1, up to $1 million, to Make-A-Wish. On Dec. 7 only, in celebration of National Believe Day, Macy’s will double its donation for each letter collected, up to an extra $1 million, taking the goal to $2 million for Make-A-Wish.
Macy’s has donated more than $112 million to Make-A-Wish since 2003, including more than $17 million through its annual Believe campaign. This funding has helped grant thousands of wishes. The wishes bring unmatched joy and hope to children and families across the country, impacting entire communities across the country.
