Our daughter loves to draw. While we want her to pay attention during church services, she actually does even better when she's drawing about what she hears - art is such a part of her. I love that there's a book that encourages journaling, and although to me it seems weird to do things to a Bible, other people love the idea of making one's Bible truly personal.
Bible journaling is a creative and artistic way to reflect on your faith within the pages of your personal Bible or prayer journal. The information inside Bible Journaling for the Fine Artist, which I recently got to review, will help readers feel more comfortable with adding pencil and color to their Bible – in addition to helping hone artistry – with expert instruction and advice from artists Melissa Fischer and Kate Peiffer.
My daughter loved the ideas. Although it might make some pages of the Bible harder to read, it really turns other pages into art, and makes parts of verses and words and themes really stand out. There were some truly beautiful ideas and it was a wonderful book to review.
