Book Nook: Draw 62 Magical Creatures and Make Them Cute

I had previously reviewed Draw 62 Animals and Make them Cute so I was excited to check out Draw 62 Magical Creatures and Make Them Cute. My daughter loved the first book, because she likes animals, especially big cats and wolves. She loved this book as well - it's hard to say which she liked more.

This book was clearly in the same vein as the previous book - ways to draw magical creatures, and then ways to enhance the cute factor. Even creatures not typically cute (like gargoyles and goblins) get the cute treatment. The book includes ways to make the animals just a little bit different, whether it's changing posture, expression, or some other small detail. Since my daughter is currently trying to write her own fantasy book, this is an awesome book for her to use while making the illustrations!

Heegyum Kim is a graphic designer and illustrator.
