If you're a fan of Tolkien or Disney, you'll enjoy these books that I recently got to review.
An Encyclopedia of Tolkien: The History of Mythology That Inspired Tolkien's World (Leather-bound Classics) by David Day is a comprehensive, illustrated guide to the history, lands, and inhabitants of Middle-earth.
I've read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and enjoyed them. It can be hard to appreciate just how intricate Tolkien's Middle-earth is. This book is based on four decades of research into Tolkien's stories. There are tons of illustrations to bring the world to life, and it even includes the legends that served as inspiration - Nibelungenlied, the Ring Cycle, and the Volsunga. This gave me even more context into the stories I already enjoyed.
For Disney fans with little kids, Disney Stories for 2-Year-Olds and Disney Stories for 3-Year-Olds include stories with familiar Disney characters. The book for 2-year-olds has fun stories with Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, and other cute stories, just right for toddlers to listen to. The book for 3-year-olds includes classic Disney stories retold in a simplified story structure that is just right for toddlers' shorter attention spans.

These books would both appeal to any young Disney fans, although they are more geared towards toddlers. They'd also be appropriate for beginning readers who like familiar characters and stories.
