Soul Sustenance: The Bible in 10 Words

I recently had a chance to review The Bible in 10 Words by Deron Spoo. This was an interesting book to read.

I loved the idea of tying to pare the Bible down into 10 words. After all, John begins with the fact that the Word is God. I thought the author did a great job choosing ten words that resonate throughout the Bible, and showing how important those were. Rather than diminishing the Bible, it actually expands on a believer's understanding of the Bible, and shows how unified God's message to us is.

This book is appropriate for anyone with basic Bible literacy - even my girls were able to understand some of the themes running throughout the Bible, and it was a good way to have discussions with them about important aspects of our faith.
