I recently had the chance to review several books from Mango Publishing. These books are a collection of wisdom, quotes, and inspiring sayings that can help you cultivate a positive attitude this year.

I really liked this book. It was easy to read, easy to get a quick pick-me-up. I also loved the cover design - it's bright colors made me smile just when I looked at it!

Live with Intention
Remember and Do What Matters

In Live with Intention, Radmacher shares the story of how she learned to live more robustly by watching how her courageous friend chose to die. Rich in story, metaphor and poetry, Live with Intention explores with you what it means to live each day with purposeful intent: understand what matters most for you, deepen what already makes your life rich, and determine your unique way to make a difference. View this book on Amazon!

This book was an engaging read. It's less straightforward than some books, but in some ways that's good, because it fits even more situations.

You’re Strong, Smart, and You Got This
Drawings, Affirmations, and Comfort to Help with Anxiety and Depression

It’s not easy to discuss mental health, even though it affects everyone. We want to believe we can handle anything that comes at us, but the reality is we all have good days and bad days. Because of this, it is important to check in with our mental health. Through guided illustrations, author Kate Allan opens the door to discussion about mental health in an approachable and unassuming manner. You’re Strong, You’re Smart, and You Got This is a source of validation and encouragement for those moments when we need a reminder of our worth. By zooming in on mindfulness and prioritizing self-care, Allan expresses how we can get through the hardships we face and come out stronger. View this book on Amazon!

I thought this book had such a cute and heartwarming cover, and that alone could lift my spirits some days. It's a great book of affirmations for people on any part of the emotional spectrum, boosting the emotions of people who are sad and deepening the positive feelings of people having a good day.

Prayers for Calm
Meditations, Affirmations, and Prayers to Soothe Your Soul

Through a mix of Bible verses, prayers for tranquility, quotes for quietude and peaceful poems, Prayers for Calm offers solace and serenity for every day of the year. Prayers for Calm is the perfect inspirational gift or encouragement gift. This book will help you slow your racing mind in this fast-paced world, assert control over your mind and believe in yourself, deepen your connection to spiritual serenity, and so much more. View this book on Amazon!

This book is obviously religious in nature, but it's also written well enough that it will fit within most faith traditions. For people who want to pray but don't know where to start, this book can provide a great way to collect thoughts in ways that will help you deepen your relationship with God and receive peace.

Glad to Be Human
Adventures in Optimism

In Glad To Be Human: Adventures in Optimism, award-winning writer Irene O’Garden reminds us of the radiance of human existence. From kitchens to gardens to busy city streets, all around, in your everyday life, you can find plenty of reasons to feel gratitude and hope, peace and joy. From small, daily activities to journeys overseas, O’Garden has a knack for finding beauty and meaning in all life’s adventures―even in our deepest pain and suffering―helping all of us feel glad to be human. View this book on Amazon!

I liked that this book was focused on the everyday things - it's a strong reminder that we don't have to have an earth-shattering experience to be optimistic. I also like the way that it presented optimism as an adventure!
