Consumer Critique; Better Than Milk®

 My husband kind of makes fun of me when I drink "milk" beverages that aren't dairy mil. However, I like them. Most of the time, if you're expecting the exact same taste as milk, you'll be disappointed - but if you're drinking it as its own beverage, it really tastes good.

So I was happy to review Better Than Milk®. I enjoy trying new foods anyway, and the company has several different options to try.

Better Than Milk® plant-based milk alternative is made with only simple, high quality, clean ingredients. Better Than Milk® products are USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project verified, vegan, plant-based, and kosher parve.  The entire line is free from gluten, dairy, lactose, soy, sulfites, carrageenan, and artificial flavors.

I was happy with that ingredient statement, knowing exactly what I was drinking. I tried all of their flavor options: unsweetened almond drink, almond drink, unsweetened oat drink, unsweetened rice + calcium drink, and rice hazelnut drink.

My favorite was the rice hazelnut drink. It was more like drinking a dessert than an actual drink. The unsweetened milks worked perfectly in cereal and recipes, and the taste of the almond drink was delicious as well. I was happy with all of the flavor options and I'd definitely buy them again.

One other thing I was happy about - their environmental efforts. The products are packaged in sustainably-sourced cartons made from recycled materials which feature plastic bio-caps created from renewable sugar cane, not petroleum.
