Consumer Critique: Think Tank Scholar Flash Cards

I recently had a chance to see some  Flash Cards from Think Tank Scholar. The company's mission is to inspire a lifetime love of creative thinking and learning through educational games and materials that are both fun and thought provoking.

Although my kids are far beyond needing sight words and math flash card help, there is a strong value to incorporating flash cards along with other tools for learning. Flash cards can make it easy for parents to check progress in rote recall - and while understanding is obviously important in both math and reading, that quick recall of sight words or math facts can improve fluency, which also makes many things easier in the long run. There are a lot of ways to incorporate flash cards to make it fun too - racing against a timer, using with a rewards system, setting goals, etc.

The flash cards were well-designed - good weight to the card stock, so they didn't feel flimsy; clean design to minimize distractions; suggestions for use in terms of games and teaching methods.

There's a reason Think Tank Scholar is one of the top-selling flash card brands on Amazon. They're well-designed, educational, and a good value.
