Programming Highlights: 

  • BRIDESHEAD REVISITED (TV Miniseries, 1981) Two young men meet at Oxford. Charles Ryder (Jeremy Irons), of no family or money, becomes friends with Sebastian Flyte (Anthony Andrews) when Sebastian throws up in his college room through an open window. He then invites Charles to lunch after his teddy bear Aloysius "refuses to talk to him" unless he is forgiven. Charles becomes involved with Sebastian's family, Catholic peers of the realm in Protestant England. The story is told in flashback as Charles, now an officer in the British Army, is moved with his company to an English country house that he discovers to be Brideshead, Sebastian's family home where Charles has a series of memories of his youth and young manhood, his loves, life, and a journey of faith and anguish. Based on the novel by Evelyn Waugh.

  • “Coronation Street” The world's longest-running television soap, “Coronation Street” focuses on the everyday lives of working class people in Manchester, England.

  • “Emmerdale Farm” A soap opera set in a fictional village in the Yorkshire Dales.

  • NY-LON (TV Miniseries, 2008) Filmed in London and on location in New York's Lower East Side, NY-LON follows the troubled romance between a bohemian New York record store clerk, Edie (Rashida Jones), and London stock broker Michael (Stephen Moyer), after their chance meeting in his city.

  • AMERICAN RAP STARS (Documentary, 2002) Will hip hop become more vital in a post-9/11 world? This and other questions are grappled with in this look deep into the heart of rap music that goes into the streets and the palatial mansions of the most vital voices in the industry. Featuring Big Boi, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Run DMC, Talib Kweli, Questlove, Russell Simmons, Snoop Dogg, and others. 

  • CRUEL AND UNUSUAL (Documentary, 2017) The story of three men who have spent longer in solitary confinement than any other prisoners in the US because of the murder of a prison guard in 1972 at Angola, the Louisiana state penitentiary. Robert King, Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox were convicted by bribed and blind eye witnesses and with no physical evidence. Targeted as members of the Black Panther party the film follows their struggle against the miscarriage of justice and their cruel and unusual treatment. Their story culminated in 2016 with the release of Albert Woodfox after 43 years in solitary confinement. 

  • HONEYDRIPPER (Drama, 2007) 1950. Rural Alabama. Cotton harvest. It's a make-or-break weekend for the Honeydripper Lounge and its owner, piano player Tyrone "Pine Top" Purvis. Deep in debt to the liquor man, the chicken man, and the landlord, Tyrone is desperate to lure the young cotton pickers and local Army base recruits into his juke joint, away from Touissant's, the rival joint across the way. His plan to hire a guitar legend goes awry and Tyrone is forced to take drastic action in a final scheme to save the club. Starring Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton, LisaGay Hamilton, Vondie Curtis-Hall.

  • LOVE WON’T LET ME WAIT (Comedy, 2015) Roger is an undeniably charismatic playboy with ill intentions. He manages to date three sisters, Ashley, Michelle and Eadie, all while convincing their unsuspecting mother (Vivica A. Fox) that he is a good guy.
