Wondery, the largest independent podcast publisher in the world and Warner Bros. Unscripted Television announce the launch of “Band of Mother’s Podcast” hosted by Shayna Ferm and Tracy Tee. The all-new podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, the Wondery App or wherever you listen to podcasts. You can also listen with Wondery+ in the Wondery App.
The creators of the popular “The Pump and Dump Show” and Band of Mothers App, hosts Shayna and Tracey have an established community and have been featured on “The Today Show,” “Today Parents,” “The Bump,” “People,” and “Parents.”
Tracey and Shayna will dive head-first into what it’s like to be a woman who also happens to be a mom with “Band of Mothers” podcast. With nothing off limits and with genuine, wide-eyed curiosity, this long-time duo (who have been friends since the 8th grade), explore women’s lifestyle subjects and expert opinions, oftentimes with compelling guests, and always with honest, raw, charmingly irreverent
Shayna Ferm said, “Working with Warner Bros. and being able to launch on an esteemed network like Wondery, with their repertoire, is a dream for us. Our mission for so many years has been to support and validate moms everywhere, and our ‘Band of Mothers Podcast’ will now be able to do just that!”
Tracey Tee added, “’Band of Mothers Podcast’ is a continuation of our 8-year mission to spread humor, validation and generosity to moms everywhere. Our hope is that we can provide a weekly dose of entertainment, laughs, education and self-reflection so our listeners not only feel like they’ve learned something new, but that they’re heard and understood on a more intimate level than simply “it’s hard being a mom.”
“Band of Mothers are here at exactly the right place and time. Shayna and Tracey’s fun perspective and take on serious and sometimes taboo subjects, plus their line-up of guests are both educational and enlightened. They are the support system and levity needed during these challenging times,” said Bob Mohler, Senior Vice President of Digital for Warner Bros. Unscripted. “As we continue to grow out our digital footprint, there’s no better podcast partner than Wondery.”
Shayna Ferm started her acting career at The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago and then spent 11 years in NYC doing film and theatre, and producing and performing music, stand-up and sketch comedy. After having a baby in the Big Apple and immediately becoming pregnant with her second child (whoops!), she and her family moved to her hometown of Denver, Colorado. Weeks after baby number two was born, and always in search of a creative project, she and her lifelong friend Tracey Tee launched “The Pump and Dump Show,” a much-needed "mom’s night out” event that quickly grew to a nationally touring production, written, produced and starring Shayna and Tracey. The pair toured for 5 years before replicating the show to star additional casts of new moms and co-founding their umbrella brand, Band of Mothers Media. Her current role in the company, outside of co-hosting “Band of Mothers Podcast,” is as Chief Creative Officer for all the branches of the business as well as for the current touring productions.
Tracey Tee double majored in Theatre and English at Hillsdale College, and quickly moved to Los Angeles where she worked as an actor, trained in improv comedy with The Groundlings and used her comedic flair as a freelance writer and purveyor of art and handmade goods in LA’s burgeoning art scene. After 7 years in LA, Tracey and her husband moved back to her native home of Denver, CO to start a family. Not long after her daughter was born, she dove back into live comedy with her lifelong friend Shayna as they developed a “parentally incorrect” night out for moms, “The Pump and Dump Show.” Tracey serves as the CEO of Band of Mothers Media.
Wondery, the largest independent podcast publisher, with credits that include “Dr. Death,” “Say Yes with Carla Hall,” “Even the Rich” and “Life is Short with Justin Long,” is known for its immersive storytelling and chart-topping shows.
