Consumer Critique: Make-a-Fort

My kids love making box forts - even though they're in middle school, it's a fun and creative outlet. The boxes we had were starting to fall apart, so I was thrilled to check out Make-a-Fort. It's definitely a new twist on classic box forts.

The panels are made from recycled cardboard, and they slide easily together, so young creators don't need to deal with tape. They can be drawn on and decorated like traditional cardboard boxes, but are much stronger and more durable. They have a carrying case, so it's easy to disassemble and store while cleaning, then reassemble for more fun.

Really the only advantage that traditional cardboard has is that you don't feel bad cutting it to make other shapes. My kids loved this though - they used the set we got as a base, and then cut up the older boxes for more interesting architecture features. My younger daughter especially loved it, and it would make a great option for anyone who wants to be able to make a box fort a little sturdier and longer-lasting (but still easy to move and clean around).
