Book Nook: The Art of Becoming Unstuck


 Imagine life as a hot air balloon ride. You constantly aspire to go to higher altitudes for smooth, happy sailing. As a former finance executive, Arda Ozdemir found himself feeling exactly like that. After years of suffering from chronic health issues, depression, and anxiety, he decided to take matters into his own hands and found relief in unique meditation and self-awareness tools. Based on his journey of awakening, Arda developed his Rise 2 Realize POWER Method, a practical five-step process to guide people out of suffering and emotional pain toward achieving a higher personal and professional potential. I had a chance to review his book The Art of Becoming Unstuck. Throughout the book, readers are coached through recognizing triggers and patterns of behavior. They will learn out to identify and understand what is holding them down, in order to be able to release them and rise above negative habits and thoughts.

 Arda Ozdemir is a former finance executive based in Silicon Valley, California who found his calling in Reiki, Qigong and Wellness Coaching, after curing himself from chronic sinus infections, bronchitis and pneumonia using unique meditation and self-awareness tools.  Since leaving the corporate world behind, he first studied Qigong, an ancient martial art discipline, a foundation to Chinese Medicine, with Master Zhao, then, learned Reiki, a Japanese healing art, from Jessica Miller, and then became a monk and studied the mindfulness meditation techniques with Mikkyo Zen Buddhists, and finally, practiced the principles of Yoga Nidra with Dr. Richard Miller.  

Arda’s teachings of self-empowerment carry a powerful combination of selected techniques from these ancient and contemporary schools of spirituality, philosophy and psychology.  With practicality and applicability in mind, he created the P.O.W.E.R. method through perfecting his work with over 2,000 clients in the last 10 years.
