Are you looking for books to celebrate upcoming holidays or birthdays? Books make great gifts and sometimes you can find books on interests that you didn't even know existed - but are so appropriate for the recipient (or for yourself). Here's a round-up of a variety of books, along with highlights of any that I've had the opportunity to review.
Lego with Dad: Creatively Awesome Brick Projects for Parents and Kids to Build Together - I had previously reviewed this. The instructions are clear and fun, and there were some new projects even for a family like ours that has been building together for a long time.
The Kamado Smoker and Grill Cookbook: Recipes and Techniques for the World's Best Barbecue
The Unofficial ALDI Cookbook: Delicious Recipes Made with Fan Favorites from the Award-Winning Grocery Store - I previously reviewed this. Even if you don't shop at Aldi this has some great, easy and tasty recipes. If you do shop at Aldi, it offers a lot of ways to elevate the products they sell with some easy tweaks!
Dogtography: A Knock-Your-Socks-Off Guide to Capturing the Best Dog Photos on Earth - this was a really fun book to review, especially since our dog is old enough to be well-trained but young enough to till be really eager for new things. The book was incredibly helpful at capturing some fun shots of her!
Street Photography Assignments: 75 Reasons to Hit the Streets and Learn
Light on The Landscape: Photographs and Lessons from a Life in Photography - my husband is a photographer, so he really liked this book. The quality of the photographs compared with the prose made a really enjoyable reading experience.
The Digital Photography Book: The step-by-step secrets for how to make your photos look like the pros’ - this was great for my daughter, who has started to get into photography but doesn't really know where to start. This gave her a lot of techniques and pointers to get started and prompts to help her find shots and think like a photographer.
Dusk to Dawn: A Guide to Landscape Photography at Night - this was an absolutely beautiful book. Although my husband is already pretty good at night-time photography, this book was enjoyable even for him as an experienced photographer. It would be a great guide for a beginner too.
Mastering Bird Photography: The Art, Craft, and Technique of Photographing Birds and Their Behavior
