Book Nook: Cookbooks from FlavCity - Keto Meal Prep and 5-Ingredient Cooking

I recently had a chance to review two new cookbooks from Mango Publishing written by Bobby and Dessi Parrish of FlavCity.

What I loved most about this cookbook is that you don't need a huge ingredient list - in fact, many of the recipes were based around ingredients I often have on hand. The book included snacks and dinner ideas, all written in a way that new cooks will understand, and more experienced cooks will still find a few new dishes to add variety. Plus, there are tips about grocery shopping, to make it easier and less overwhelming for the new cook. 

Each of the 50 recipes are healthy and only take five ingredients. The book shows how to combine store-bought and fresh items for flavorful meals that can be cooked by anyone.


I don't follow a keto diet, but a lot of these recipes still looked good. The low-carb recipes in this book are appetizing and appropriate for any skill level. For those following a keto diet, it contains detailed macros and carb counts, meal prep tips, allergen information, and more.
