Healthy Habits: Nasal Rinsing

Nasal rinsing: ever heard of it? Chances are you haven’t; but that’s okay! I’m here to tell you all about the benefits of nasal rinsing and why you should start today.

What is nasal rinsing?

Nasal rinsing is a simple way to relieve the symptoms of congestion and allergies. The process of rinsing the nose is easy with a product like NOSE WELL®. Check out our how-to video below.

Simply fill the bottle with distilled water and a premixed packet of NOSE WELL and shake to dissolve. Begin rinsing by putting the nozzle snugly against your nostril and pushing the button on the bottle. The solution will rinse out the other nostril. Lastly, take a breath of fresh air!

Why is it beneficial?

Nasal rinsing is beneficial to those who want to treat the symptoms of congestion and allergies. NOSE WELL clears out the sinuses so you can breathe easy knowing your nasal passages are cleared. Studies show nasal rinsing can increase sinus-related quality of life, which—as sinus sufferers know—is a big deal.

Studies also show that nasal rinsing may reduce sinus discomfort and sinus pressure or infections. In fact, it may even help reduce the amount of medication people with sinusitis routinely take. Doctors recommend nasal rinsing to anyone with allergies or sinus congestion.

Any downsides?

There are no known serious or severe side effects from nasal rinsing. You may feel certain insignificant side effects, but they are usually mild and easily treated. There is one important warning to heed: always use distilled water when using a nasal rinsing device. Using warm water is helpful, as water that is too hot or too cold may be uncomfortable.

Nasal rinsing is easy, affordable, and can be done in the comfort of your own home. Try NOSE WELL today!
