Fun Fashion: Fall Jewelry Trends

I recently had a chance to interview Olivia Starling, founder and CEO of jewelry brand Starlette Galleria, to learn about fall jewelry trends.

What are some of this fall's new or unique trends?
Charms and striked gold are trending for this fall’s fashion. Striked gold, which is where the solid color of the gold is interrupted, can make for a beautiful appearance. Charms on the other hand, that are placed around the neck or on the wrist are also a good go-to. You can wear an eye-catching necklace, and then when the eyes fall to the wrist, the smaller charm can catch them softly, completing the look.

Are there classic styles that are making a comeback this fall?
For this fall we’re seeing a lot of styles inspired by the 80s and 90s coming back into play. Lot’s of bold colors and flashy accessories to make an even bolder statement. So don’t be afraid to dig around in that closet (because you might come across some fashion gold to have you set this season)!

How can people choose jewelry that works for the changing weather of fall (especially if people are adding or removing layers during the day?)
What they’re going to want to look for is jewelry that has some type of plating or they might even want to consider leaving their valuable jewelry at home if they know they will be in harsh conditions. What makes Starlette Galleria’s jewelry different is that our jewelry is made of certified 925 sterling silver and then plated in real 14k gold, rose gold, or rhodium (white gold). This makes it more resilient to tarnishing and everyday scratches that can occur while being used. With all of the movement that comes with changing layers and the temperature fluctuations in the fall, it would be best to look for a high-quality substitute.
