I recently had the chance to review Stilte. I was intrigued by this book because I've visited Denmark and have explored the language and culture - plus, we can all use a little more peace in our lives.
The book emphasizes creating moments of silence and stillness, to allow peace to enter our lives despite our hectic schedules. If you're really busy, it can be hard to think of making time for reading the book, let alone time for silence! But the book is easy to read, with short little snippets, or keys. Each key can be worked on a little bit, here and there, until stillness and peace become habits.
Some of this book overlaps with other books I've read about mindfulness, and it makes sense - there is a certain amount of the same concept. I liked that this book was also rooted in Christian peace.
If you need silence in your life (and if you think you don't, you probably do), this is a good book to help you make room for that.
