Consumer Critique: Movement in a Box

I recently had a chance to review a box from Movement in a Box. Although my kids are a little older than the target market, it was still a lot of fun.

The box is a quarterly subscription box that combines movement with education. It's designed for children in the pre-K/kindergarten age range, and each box has a dozen or more age-appropriate activities, facts, and tips. Some of the objects included in different boxes are balls, bean bags, scarves, or more, and reinforce learning about shapes, colors, letters, numbers, and other foundational education skills. There are plenty of ways to modify the activities, allowing for the huge range of development between ages 3 and 6.

The company hopes to inspire lifelong movers and also encourage movement-based learning in families. As far as subscription boxes go, this one is great for families - easily customizable for kids outside of the age range (the activities are still fun, even if some of your kids are older), gets kids moving, and helps reinforce what they're learning. I was happy with the quality and quantity of items in the box and would definitely consider subscribing if my kids weren't as old as they are!
