There is fun in store for the upcoming Children's Film Festival Seattle! The festival welcomes its new Festival Director Kendra Ann Sherrill, who is honored to be following in the footsteps of the festival's incredible founding director Elizabeth Shepherd. Sherrill and the team at the Northwest Film Forum are excitedly working on the 2022 edition of Children's Film Festival Seattle — the largest and most admired festival of its kind west of the Mississippi!
The family-friendly extravaganza will take place from Friday, February 11 to Sunday, February 20, 2022 as a hybrid festival. Both virtual and in-person screenings and events will be accessible to youth, families, and film lovers of any age in the Seattle area and beyond! (In-person events may be subject to change due to COVID.)
Since 2005, CFFS has used film as a tool for championing racial equity, diversity, inclusivity, social justice, global awareness, and the best in visual storytelling for young people. Crafted with care and concern to address the urgent issues of the moment, the festival stands out for its ability to showcase the best and brightest in international cinema while always upholding its values and its commitment to creating intimate, community-minded viewing experiences.
Mark your calendars, the party is almost here!
