By popular demand, beloved children's musician Laurie Berkner is back with a second season of Laurie Berkner's Song and Story Kitchen. Laurie's 10-chapter Audible Original series will debut on Thursday, March 17, 2022. "This series really comes from my heart," says Laurie Berkner. "I love cooking, eating and growing food, and for years I had dreamed of doing a children's series that took place in a fantastic kitchen. In Laurie Berkner’s Song and Story Kitchen I was able to do just that, using the stories to bring the characters from my songs to life! And because it’s an Audible Original, the magical experience for the 'Kitchen Kids' who hear my stories starts with listening and expands as far as their imaginations will take them. I am thrilled to now be releasing 10 more chapters in Laurie Berkner’s Song and Story Kitchen Season 2!" Young listeners ages 3 to 8 will join Laurie Berkner, her buddy, Thelonious Pig (Josiah Gaffney), and his little sister, Rosetta Pig (Faye Marguerite Gardner), as they whip up yummy food, songs, and stories in Laurie Berkner’s Song and Story Kitchen. Each chapter of this whimsical Audible Original features a different food and tells a new story set in the magical world of Juniper Fields with Laurie's friends: Oscar Beebee, the bumblebee; Layla Meeska, the mouse; Tallulah Jones, the dinosaur; ferret cousins Victor Vito and Freddie Vasco, and their new friend in Season 2, Harry Munkin, the chipmunk. Along with original new music, fans will hear recordings of some of the Laurie Berkner Band’s greatest hits, with Susie Lampert on keyboard, Bob Golden on drums and percussion, Brady Rymer on bass, and several special guest musicians. In addition to learning gentle lessons through Laurie’s storytelling and upbeat songs, there’s even a bonus chapter of all the music from the entire season at the end! About Laurie Berkner: Laurie Berkner has received tremendous critical acclaim. USA Today named Laurie "the undisputed queen of kindie rock."
