I recently had a chance to try out some coffee from Red Rooster Coffee, a specialty coffee company and roastery based in Virginia. One thing I like about the company is that they are dedicated to positive social impact through supporting farmers by paying high premiums and giving back to social programs. They source most of their beans from micro and macro lot farms in Latin America, Mexico, Ecuador and Kenya.
The small town roastery also offers a curated subscription box, The Fix (Starting at $22), each month offers a taste of the most rare and delicious coffees on the planet, specially curated for each customer by their team of coffee pros. I you choose an annual plan, they’ll send you brew gear!
We got to try their latest launch, a single-serve coffee bag. These easy-to-use compostable bags are a great solution when you’re need a quick way to get your coffee fix. Just pour 8 oz of hot water over the bag, dunk for 15-30 seconds, and steep for approximately 5 minutes. This was a perfect solution for us for our upcoming camping trips. My husband tried out one bag at home to make sure it would satisfy his craving, and it did. He thought it was one of the best steeped coffee options he's had. We also both loved the fact that the bags are compostable and the company has a good mission.
Check them out if you're looking for a quality coffee company with a great mission. If you're local, feel free to check out their cafe!
