Americans have been putting off their doctor's visits en masse. A new study by MyVision shows 53% of Americans delayed medical care due to the pandemic and 61% admittedly fall under the medical procrastinator category. One possible solution? Telehealth.
This study shows that:
- More than half of people have skipped in-person appointments due to scheduling difficulties
- 1 in 5 Americans prefer telehealth to in-person appointments
- 1 in 3 say telehealth reduces delay and procrastination for appointments
Today, people wait an average of 10 weeks for doctor’s appointments, and 40% of respondents say they make both in-person and telehealth appointments. You can see the full results here and learn more about which doctors are being put off the most.
