I was recently sent two LGBTQ Books from Microcosm Publishing
The Queer Affirmations Coloring Book
by Joe Carlough (author) and Ally Shwed (illustrator)
My daughter loves to color, and likes to see diversity in what she colors. This book is actually appropriate for just about anyone who wants to replace trite platitudes with more meaningful phrases. The drawings to color have a fun style with a variety of people and activities represented throughout the book. (Note: one image does portray marijuana use)
Queer Animals & Plants Coloring Book
by Kes Otter Lieffe (author) and Anja Van Geert (illustrator)
This book actually teaches about science as well, with the diversity of reproductive and mating habits of plants and animals each explained in a very easy-to-read manner. It builds on the success of the previous Queer Animals Coloring Book (which I haven't seen) to share some most likely surprising animal facts in a fun and informative coloring book.
