Music Minute - Brady Seals: Deeper Shade of Blue-Collar

Award-winning singer-songwriter and artist Brady Seals, has released his new single, “Deeper Shade of Blue-Collar,” an upbeat tribute to the hardworking blue-collar workers that keep this country operating every day of the year. The new music is available for streaming and download here.

Penned by Seals, Kathy White and Bill Whyte, “Deeper Shade of Blue-Collar” was written as an ode to all the blue-collar workers. Seals’ grandfather was a Kentucky sharecropper and coal miner and his grandma worked on the farm. His dad drove a coal mining truck and worked as a crane operator for GM until he retired. His mother cleaned houses for a living. He comes from a long line of hard workers and he’s proud of that.

“Thank God for those men and women out there who aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty,” Brady Seals proudly stated. “We couldn’t do this thing without you. This one’s for you!”

About Brady Seals:
Throughout his career, Brady Seals has sold over 11 million albums, topped three genres simultaneously and his songs continue to captivate audiences and attract licenses for TV, radio and film.
A touring musician since the age of 16, Brady Seals is probably best known for his tenure in Little Texas.

In 1996 Seals pursued a solo career, collaborating with the legendary Rodney Crowell to co-produce his Warner Brothers album, The Truth. It features a duet with Wynonna Judd, “Another You, Another Me,” that sold over 100,000 singles. A self-titled CD followed in 1998. In 2002 Seals formed Hot Apple Pie (DreamWorks). Comprised of extraordinary musicians, the music industry dubbed the band “Music City’s Super Group." In 2008 Seals released an independent solo CD called Play Time, featuring friends, Richard Marx and Stan Lynch (Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers), and hit the road again. He spent two years performing in clubs, theaters and other venues across the country. When 2015 rolled around, Seals, along with his friend and co-writer, Gordon Kennedy, founded the songwriter show called Music City Pickers LIVE! featuring artists such as Ricky Skaggs, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Richie McDonald (Lonestar), Peter Frampton and many other hit-makers.

Most recently, Brady has paired up with Lua Crofts (daughter of Darrell "Dash" Crofts) to form Seals & Crofts 2. Audiences can now experience the music of 70s rock duo Seals & Crofts in a whole new way. They can hear the hits “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl” and “We May Never Pass This Way (Again),” artfully reimagined with a reverent nod to the past. The project will feature many popular Seals & Crofts classics, as well as new songs from Seals & Crofts 2.
