Everyone has at least one story about their favorite teacher in school. Teachers have an incredible power to make us feel special, whether it’s from their dedication to their students outside normal class hours, or unique teaching style in front of the whiteboard.
A new survey done by Preply finds that one teacher truly has a lasting impact on Americans.
- 77% think about the teacher who impacted them most at least once a year.
- 42% haven't spoken to the teacher who impacted them most since they were in their class, but 45% want to reach out to their most impactful teacher.
- The top three things favorite teachers have helped their students with outside of academics are combating shyness, mental health struggles, and adjusting to being new at school.
- Half of those surveyed shared that their favorite teacher went beyond the curriculum, sharing details of their personal life and fostering a deeper connection.
