Rising singer-songwriter
Scoot Teasley pulls inspiration from the road he was raised on in his latest track
“Tower Road,” out now. Written by Teasley, Forrest Finn and Dawson Edwards and produced by Brett Truitt, the song gives thanks to his roots and honors the family and community who shaped him, opening with audio from his own grandfather.
“Tower Road is where I grew up,” said Teasley. “Everybody on that street felt like family, whether they were blood or not. I wanted to write something that felt like home, and I wanted to make sure my Papa was part of it too.”
“Tower Road” joins Teasley's string of 2025 releases, including his most recent track
“Whiskey Burns.” Written by Teasley, Jon Stark and Valerie Broussard and produced by Nicholas Sainato, the song brings an edgy twist to Teasley's country vocals as he pours heartbreak over a glass of whiskey and strikes a match to the past. This year's collection of new songs also includes
“Dirt Road Dropout” and
“Gone To Dust,” which brought
MusicRow to state, “his singing is warmly forceful and the percussion touches are ear-catching on this depiction of the end of a relationship. The muscular production matches the potency of his performance of this midtempo rouser.”
The Nashville Briefing 2024 Artist to Watch and Tidal Rising Artist has made his rounds in Music City this year, playing at The Basement, Whiskey Jam, Duck Blind's Raised Rowdy showcase, Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival and various events throughout CMA Fest. Just announced, Teasley will join groundbreaking country artist Lily Rose on the road this fall, kicking off on Sept. 11 in Boston.
