It will be full STEAM ahead for families visiting WonderWorks and taking part in the special offerings to celebrate National STEM Day. WonderWorks strives to instill a love of learning in a fun and interactive way all year long, and with this special day, they will be offering even more opportunities for all minds to be stimulated. On November 8, 2025, guests can take part in interactive science experiments and demonstrations throughout the building, providing an opportunity for hands-on, up-close exposure to the wonders of STEM.
The day will feature two science stations, one in the upside-down lobby and the other by the Bed of Nails in the Physical Challenge Zone. Demonstration sessions will be offered at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Participation in the day’s activities is included with a regular admission ticket. A variety of STEM topics will be explored in each special session, including pressure, electricity, density, and molecules. Guests will be able to see science in action, with a tornado in a bottle, an explanation of how the Bed of Nails works, a static electricity dancing ghost, and much more.
WonderWorks Pigeon Forge is also excited to unveil their newly updated exhibit, "I THINK, Therefore I STEM." This rotating exhibit features inspiring information about various STEM careers, highlighting a new field with each update. The latest edition spotlights the world of aviation, showing aspiring pilots that endless possibilities await up in the atmosphere. The exhibit highlights fun, interesting facts about the career field and offers engaging interactive elements.
WonderWorks places a significant emphasis on providing STEAM programs all year long. Currently, submissions are being accepted for the annual SM-ART Contest, which offers students from the Smoky Mountain area the ability to submit their artistic masterpieces to be displayed at the upside-down house. Winning submissions will be chosen in the new year to be put on display in the Wonder Art Gallery. Additionally, local teachers are invited to nominate their students for the WonderWorks program called WonderKids. The program highlights student achievement, both in and out of the classroom. Guests have fun all year long at WonderWorks Myrtle Beach, but special activities and hands-on learning will be added to celebrate National STEM Day. On November 8, 2025, guests can get hands-on and close-up to the wonders of STEM, and it's all included in the regular admission fee. There will be special experiment sessions to check out that day, including:
11 am – Soda Can Challenge
12 pm – Mirage Maker
1 pm – Principals of Pressure
2 pm – A New Airplane Lab
There will also be an opportunity to try your hand at making origami and meet special guest Shark Tooth Charles from 11 am to 2 pm. The interactive experiments and demonstrations will focus on a variety of STEM topics, including the principles of pressure, optical illusions, aerodynamics, and more.
This will also be an excellent day for students to explore careers in STEM fields. WonderWorks Myrtle Beach will be unveiling its newly updated "I THINK, Therefore I STEM" exhibit, which highlights STEM careers. Young art lovers can now submit their masterpiece for the annual ART-OLINA Art Contest for a chance to have their work displayed in the Wonder Art Gallery. The youth art contest is open to students in North and South Carolina through December 12, 2025. Additionally, local teachers can begin nominating students for the upcoming WonderKids program starting November 8, 2025. The program highlights student achievement in the classroom and beyond. Teachers can nominate students for a particular category, including future scientist, math marvel, model citizen, and creative genius. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) can be found all around us, so this special day will put these important topics in the spotlight. The mission of WonderWorks is to spread a love of learning while providing fun opportunities to do it, each one perfect for inquisitive minds of all ages. While the upside-down laboratory is a year-round provider of “edu-tainment,” the special National STEM Day celebration will take things to the next level, featuring exciting interactive science experiments that will give guests hands-on, close-up looks at all the wonders of STEM/STEAM.
All day long, guests can create dancing art in the party room and catch special experiment sessions, including:

The experiment sessions will provide an up-close look at some of the various ways that science plays a role in the world around us. Visitors will learn about topics, such as the principles of pressure, chemical reactions, optical illusions, aerodynamics, and more.
National STEM Day is also an excellent time for young minds to explore careers in STEM fields, as WonderWorks Branson unveils a newly revised “I THINK, Therefore I STEM” exhibit. The new exhibit will feature exciting facts and engaging interactive elements to help guests learn about careers in the world of aviation. Aspiring pilots will be inspired by the opportunities this career field holds and by knowing that the sky is not the limit!
Held yearly, National STEM Day is dedicated to promoting more interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It also often focuses on STEAM, which includes the arts as a core tenant. WonderWorks Branson offers a youth art gallery, celebrating the important role that the arts play in the community. The OZART Contest is now also accepting submissions for the 2025/2026 exhibition. The annual youth art contest invites students from Missouri and Arkansas to submit their artistic masterpieces for the chance to have them displayed in the Wonder Art Gallery.
