Soul Sustenance - Most Burnt-Out States

A new study has named Nevada the most burnt-out state in America, and Montana is the most relaxed.

The study, conducted by the AI productivity platform Plus AI looked at keywords and phrases related to burnout in both personal and professional lives on Google. A total of 275 search terms were then analyzed, including ‘therapy,’ ‘work burnout,’ and ‘stress,’ and a ranking was produced based on the total average monthly search volumes per 100,000 residents for all terms, by state.

Daniel Li, CEO and Co-Founder of Plus AI, commented, “What we can see from these findings reflects a much bigger picture around mental health in the U.S. Burnout and anxiety aren’t niche issues; they’re incredibly common. In fact, anxiety disorders affect nearly one in five American adults each year, and over 30% will experience one at some point in their lives.

“When stress and burnout start to feel constant, people turn to the internet looking for answers or reassurance. These patterns are a reminder that burnout isn’t just about workload, but about how supported people feel, both at work and in their everyday lives.”
