Consumer Critique - The Dead Sea Squirrels

My younger kid loves squirrels, so it's always fun to check something squirrel-related out! In this case, the Dead Sea Squirrels name comes from the Dead Sea Scrolls, with a fun way to learn about Biblical values, and follows a couple formerly petrified squirrels who have been revived and share their firsthand knowledge about the Bible.

Dead Sea Squirrels come from Mike Nawrocki, co-creator of the VeggieTales series. The series (both video and book) uses humor and imaginative storytelling to share lessons in a fun way. Themes include kindness, diligence, honesty, mercy, self-control, overcoming worry, trusting God, Jesus’ birth, baptism, the Kingdom of God, the Last Supper and the Resurrection.

The soundtrack, now available for streaming, provides a way to listen to the songs from the series and reinforce lessons while listening to positive music. It includes performances from a variety of major Christian musicians, including Matthew West, MercyMe’s Bart Millard, Katy Nichole, Ellie Holcomb, Mac Powell of Third Day, Steve Taylor and three-time GRAMMY Award winner Ashley Cleveland. The album also features Matthew Ward, Durell Comedy, Mike Nawrocki, Jenny Littleton, Mazzy Mason, Christopher Bailey, Aaron Armstrong, Rob Howard, Duncan Phillips, Henry O. Arnold, The Golden Hours and James Weir.
