As part of a campaign to celebrate the availability of the
iconic The Original SoupMan soups (inspiration for the Seinfeld "Soup"
episode) in the soup aisle of supermarkets nationwide, the company has
launched the "Soup with Shaq" Sweepstakes via its Facebook page. Four
grand prize winners will have the chance to win a trip to meet with
Shaquille O'Neal, equity partner and brand ambassador of The Original
SoupMan, and to spend some time with him over lunch and, of course, a
delicious bowl of The Original SoupMan soup!
In addition to the contest, The Original SoupMan, who is based in Staten Island, set up a fundraising campaign through Al's Feed The Hungry Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization launched by The Original SoupMan in 2005. Al's Feed The Hungry Foundation donates funds and soup to local hunger charities, including soup kitchens and food pantries. Baseball Hall-of-Famer, Reggie Jackson, an equity partner in The Original SoupMan and long-time brand ambassador, serves as chairman of Al's Feed The Hungry Foundation.
A $10 donation will helps us feed approximately 15 people. People can donate whatever they can afford by visiting http://originalsoupman.com/good-deeds. Donations are accepted via credit card or PayPal accounts.
