Soul Sustenance: A Year of Living Mindfully

Randi Ragan, LA-based mobile spa owner, recently released A Year of Living Mindfully: Seasonal Practices to Nourish Body, Mind and Spirit.I was happy to have a chance to review the book. Randi writes with authority based on her decades of work in the wellness and yoga industries. What I really love about the book is that it's not an all-out change your life over night approach. Instead, it has seasonal rituals, based on the calendar, to help gently make changes that will have a big impact.

The holistic approach helps focus on all areas of health, and throughout the course of the year, readers will have improved their relationship with time, created simply beauty supplies with clean ingredients, improved mind-body balance, reduced stress, and much more! My absolute favorite seasonal ritual is "human hibernation" - which is, appropriately, in the winter. This alone time is necessary even for those who thrive on being an extrovert!

It's a worthwhile book to look into, even if you only make a few of the changes. Living mindfully helps re-focus on what's important, and makes sure you're taking care of yourself to stay healthy for others.
