As Christians, we know in theory that God talks to us. We often wish that He would make His voice more clear, more directly audible - but often, we miss the message.
I recently had a chance to review Hearing God: Eliminate Myths, Encounter Meaning. In the book, Nathan Finochio, Teaching Pastor at Hillsong NYC writes that God is constantly communicating with this world He's created. We simply aren't following the right advice when it comes to hearing what He has to say. Through biblical teaching and true life stories, Hearing God: Eliminate Myths. Encounter Meaning. empowers and enables us to separate fact from fiction, myth from meaning, and truly understand what God is saying about big decisions and daily living.
I liked how muh the book relied on Biblical truths. Not everything was taken in the same context that I believe, but that's going to happen with any author, since there are so many Christian denominations. Even if I didn't see eye to eye with him on everything in a chapter, I was still able to gain insight from the main point.
This is a good option for people who are trying to learn how to hear God's voice by breaking down the obstacles and myths that might stand in their way.
